Capability 03 — Core competency

Field Data Collection & Behavioral Measurement

NAICS 541910

In plain terms: we go and ask — in country, in language, face to face — and come back with a finding you can act on, not a spreadsheet you have to interpret.

Bravo 9 runs field data collection and behavioral measurement on a client’s behalf. In-country teams administer mobile survey instruments with the people a program needs to reach, in French and English, online or offline, wherever the respondents are. You commission a study; we design the instrument, field it, run quality control, analyze the returns, and deliver the findings.

This is a service, not a software licence. There is no platform for your staff to learn, no dashboard for your analysts to interpret, and no data engineering left on your side of the line. What arrives is a finding, the evidence beneath it, and a name signed to it.

Collection is where studies fail.

Response quality is decided in the field, not in analysis. Collection runs offline where connectivity does not reach and syncs when it returns. Response locations are verified by the collecting device rather than self-reported. Every response carries a documented record from collection through to the finding it informed, so any figure in a memo can be traced back to where and when it was gathered — which is what makes a finding defensible when a decision made on it is questioned later.

Responses are not read in isolation. Each one is paired with open-source global event data and local social media, so what a respondent reports is read alongside what was happening around them at the time. That pairing is the difference between a durable shift in sentiment and a reaction to last week’s event.

Findings arrive as a signed decision memo: what the round shows, and what it means for the next action. Studies are built to be repeated, so a second round measures movement against the first rather than starting from zero — the way a program tells whether anything it did actually changed behavior.

The method runs on BASIRA Analytics, Bravo 9’s own behavioral assessment platform and company-owned intellectual property, licensed for program use and never transferred. Clients buy the study rather than the system; the platform itself is described on its own page for anyone who wants the underlying mechanics. The method is operational today — the first field round ran in Senegal with in-country teams.
